Wat Tham Klong Phen, een rustig bosklooster buiten de stad, wordt vereerd als de thuisbasis van de beroemde meditatiemonnik Luang Phu Khao Analayo.

Nongbua Lamphu is verder zeer populair onder historici. Er zijn een groot aantal prehistorische en archeologische vindplaatsen in deze regio.
